I don't lik all the ads on Facebook, can I stream from my own website?
Absolutely. In fact, we highly recommend it! Always stream on your website first! This is where you have total control over the content. We’ll provide the embed codes or a full Streaming Portal where your content is proudly displayed. Once this is in place… Diversify.
To reach as many people as possible, it’s important to stream your content on more than one platform. Sounds like a lot of work. Not if you have Streaming Best. We take care of all the work for you.
Why not just stream to Facebook?
Because Facebook is free for a reason. They need you to make money. Only users who sign up for Facebook can see your stream. You may be surprised to find many users prefer Instagram, YouTube or Zoom or maybe they just don’t like all the ads on social media sites.
Facebook has ads all over the place and now they are appearing in the live stream. Right now, videos ads appear after your live steam has ended. Soon they will appear before it begins, or even during your broadcast and because it’s a free service, you have no control over it.
With all that said, we still feel its a good option to also stream on Facebook… If you have a website too! If anything goes wrong you can redirect all social media users to your site.
Can I simulcast to more than one social media site?
Yes you can! And it’s a good idea! No need to set-up publishing points to all the various elements you want to share your stream. Let us do the work for you. We can simulcast your stream to…
- Multiple Facebook Accounts
- YouTube
We also simulcast to generic targets such as:
- Icecast2 (Internet radio)
- RTMP (Video)
- Shoutcast (Internet radio)
What is the difference between Live Streaming and On Demand
Live Streaming means broadcasting on the spot via webcams, camcorders and smart devices. You publish while the event is being delivered over the Internet. The viewer is invited to be on your site for the broadcast at a predetermined time.
On-demand Streaming means the broadcast has been prerecorded and made available when the viewers would like to see it. It’s a great way to be there for your viewers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
